Airdrie Life Magazine Cover

Kelly Zeeb’s artistic journey reached another exciting milestone this fall when her artwork was selected for the cover of the Fall 2025 issue of Airdrie Life magazine, a prestigious local publication that highlights creativity and community. The magazine’s annual call for submissions invited Airdrie artists to share original pieces that embody the feeling of autumn and Zeeb’s unique work was chosen to represent the season on the cover.

The accompanying feature article, “Airdrie Artist Turns Recovery Into Ingenuity,” tells the powerful story of Zeeb’s unexpected path to art. After a traumatic brain injury in 2018 ended her teaching career, she discovered drawing through recovery therapy. What began as rehabilitation soon became a passion, leading her to study at Emily Carr University and develop a unique painting style using dark backgrounds and cooler “Irlen” palettes to support her visual processing.

Being featured on the cover of Airdrie Life is both an honour and a celebration of Zeeb’s resilience, creativity, and the transformative power of art. Read the full issue here.

First Solo Exhibition - "Forest Bathing"

Kelly Zeeb’s first solo exhibition, Forest Bathing, was a resounding success, captivating visitors with its serene and immersive atmosphere. Hosted at Route 22 Artist’s Collective Gallery in Cochrane from May 12 to June 15, the show invited viewers to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the grounding beauty of nature. Inspired by her Canadian heritage and the legacy of the Group of Seven, particularly Lawren Harris, Zeeb used soft, cool palettes of blues, greens, and purples to create a calming, accessible environment for all viewers. Her thoughtful approach struck a chord with the community, as visitors enthusiastically supported this emerging local artist. Forest Bathing not only celebrated the power of nature through art but also offered a mindful and transformative experience.

Group Exhibition

The 4 Dimensions “Kaleidoscope” Immersive Installation Exhibit marked the launch of an exciting new collaborative art experience, which brought together four unique creative voices. Kelly joined 3 other artists to create a group exhibition that celebrated both artistic diversity and the enduring beauty of nature.  Zeeb’s contribution draws inspiration from the remarkable resilience and adaptability of Canadian pines such as: The White Pine’s Open-Minded flexibility, The Jack Pine’s Indomitable strength, and The Lodgepole Pine’s Versatile nature. This dynamic, immersive installation was the first group exhibit at Route 22 Gallery in Cochrane and was a notable success.

Rose Baxter People's Choice Award Winner

Paint the Foothills 2023 was a vibrant plein air painting event hosted by the Leighton Art Centre in Alberta from September 8–10, 2023. The three-day celebration invited artists to capture the beauty of the Alberta foothills through outdoor painting, offering workshops, public art activities, and a friendly painting competition. The event brought together artists and art lovers to enjoy nature, creativity, and community in a scenic rural setting. Kelly participated in the event and won the Rose Baxters People’s Voice Award with her plein air piece.
